Who?
We are an organization of individuals who refuse to go blindly along with whatever "society says" and we are sick
of the sheeple who do so. If one of these sheeple lived in the era of slavery, then they would accept slavery. If they lived
in the era of believing the world was flat, then they would believe that the world is flat. We choose to think for ourselves,
live the way we see fit, and fight ignorance and we support anyone who does the same.
What do we believe?
1. All beliefs and concepts must be backed up by logic and or evidence. "Majority Rules" or "that's
just the way it is" are not enough for us.
2. People are not to be held accountable for or discriminated against due to factors they cannot control.
(These factors being race, gender and the like).
3. People should be respected and/or exalted only for things they can control such as their beliefs, their
character and how they affect the "outside" world. Even an evil person can be good to his own children. But,
the true measure of a person's worth is how they affect those who aren't obliged by society to give them something. Likewise,
a person is not going to be respected simply for being old (at least not when it comes to us). What does that prove to me?
That you survived 70 years without getting hit by a car? Just because you should have wisdom, maturity and the like doesn't
mean that you do.
4. Respect a person and calculate their worth, not by what they have or do, but by who they are.
For example, don't respect a woman in your neighborhood because she has children. All that proves is that she had sex
at least twice. You're simply looking at what she has. Forget the content of her womb and look for the content of her character.
Likewise don't respect a man simply because he is a lawyer. You don't know whether he cheated his way through school or not.
You don't know about the children he had in college and abandoned. You don't know anything about him but his job title, so
withold judgement until you do.
5. Truth is determined by logic and proof , not social consensus or even societal law. If consensus
and law determined truth, then the sky would be a different color for every country and/or state on Earth.
6. We will tolerate the beliefs of others as long as they are backed by logic and do not hold people accountable
for choices that they did not make. For example, I will not accept a mother blaming her child for the fact
that she had to give up a good deal of her freedom to raise her. We have free will and sometimes we just have to lie in the
bed that we've made. No one asks to be born and that mother should realize that and act accordingly.
